The Bletchley Circle
Follow your Arrow: Marginalia (Gen, friendship, post series 1, slightly jossed.)
This Millie-centric story is lovely, a satisfying character study.
Millie seeks adventure, and finds it closer to home than she had expected.
Lookout in the Blackout: lbmisscharlie (gen)
A vivid ficlet that melds a wartime experience that most people would have known, as opposed to many of Susan's other wartime experiences, with the season 1 case.
Brave
Doppelganger: osprey_archer (Gen)
Meridia meets her double, juicy satire ensues.
The Brothers Bloom
All The World: Random-Battlecry Stephen/Bang Bang ficlet
This isn't just 'girl saves boy' fic, it's Bang Bang saves Stephen fic.
Firefly
Begin the Beguine: sharelle Five-part, Wash/Zoe, pre-series, goes up to teen (link goes to the final part, but it has links to all the previous parts).
Great mission fic about how Zoe and Wash learn about and appreciate each other's strengths, with a great Wash voice (everyone sounds like themselves, actually).
Gravity
Witness: wildgoosery Gen, post-movie.
This is the kind of science fiction I love to read. The big picture implications are married well with what's going on with Ryan emotionally after the film. Great use of details to make up an engrossing story.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Avengers
in the service of liars and killers: gdgdbaby Clint, Natasha (plus Coulson) teen for violence.
Great backstory for Clint and Natasha's interaction in the Avengers movie and partnership.
Iron Man
okay to say you've got a weak spot: sotto-voice Post Iron Man 2 Tony/Pepper ficlet
Tony and Pepper are so them in this ficlet, and I like what it shows about them.
The Mindy Project
none but the brave: hardly golden Danny-Mindy friendship (with unacknowledged UST) and hurt/comfort
I love how this story unfolds, their interaction and how Danny thinks about Mindy, or thinks he thinks about Mindy.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Second Honeymoon: Belle John/Jane
Fun look at how their partnership and relationship are developing apace.
The Night Circus
Looking Above for the North Star: Jai Celia/Marco
I especially love the use of magic that fits into canon and, as in canon, how it's used to reflect these characters and their feelings for each other.
Orphan Black
Networking,/a>: marycontraire Post s1 gen (Christmas fic)
Felix and Alison are lovely and great fun here.
Parks and Recreation
it’s just the laws that make us bad: irishmizzy Set after the end of series 2, jossed by series 3. Longish, teen for language. Leslie/Ben.
Great voices, especially Ben's, given when it was written, and perspective of Leslie and her town. I love how she finds out how he's not just what he's built himself up to be. Also – funny.
bleeding sunshine (in autumn, something’s always falling): lavillerespire Leslie/Ben, Ben POV, spoilers up to 3.3 Time Capsule and speculation for after.
Utterly charming fic about Leslie (and Pawnee)’s effect on Ben. It expands nicely on what we saw happen in canon from his POV and the additions are pretty seamless.
Cynicism is a crutch for him, and he’s in awe of Leslie’s balance.
All Roads Lead to You: cypanache Leslie/Ben (goes up to 3.06) longish
Lovely story about how Leslie and Ben’s backstories intertwine. (Could have done with a beta read for minor errors.)
The Princess Bride
A Duplicity of Pirates: Isabeau
Really amusing post-movie fic, some pitch-perfect character interactions and an intriguing crossover artefact. (The ending did leave me feeling like a child who has been told, ‘that’s it, no more story for tonight’ and I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing as there is no tomorrow night).
Sherlock
the breath that passed from you to me: rsadelle post series 2 Molly/Sherlock, Mature, long one shot.
Molly gets pregnant with Sherlock’s child and this tremendous, credible story is about what happens next. Moving at times, featuring unfussy writing with a subtle use of POV. (It’s been jossed and it did need a Britpick here and there.)
Ugly Betty
Death is the new black: yahtzee63 Zombie!AU Betty/Daniel strong teen
Daniel and Betty have to figure out their relationship while zombies attack NYC, Ugly Betty style. Flawless characterisation of the ensemble.
