So, this year I’ve become more aware of soulmates AUs as a thing in fic, specifically soulmarks. I mean, I was aware of it in Harry Potter fandom, but not so much in pairings I read. It is both hugely problematic and idtastic. This rundown of soulmate AU scenarios from thegeminisage is fascinating

From Den of Geek, Mark Harrison is ‘Looking Back at Sky High' with a really good comparison to Harry Potter. It’s ten years since this film came out, and I still love it. In the comments there’s an assertion about a four-movie plan I hadn’t come across before. I certainly would have loved a movie where we met Baron Battle. And, surely, the longer the series went on, the more undeniable Layla/Warren would have become.

Skygiants has written a beautiful (oh, stuff it, a bee-yootiful) review/recap of Jupiter Ascending. And all that she says actually happens in the film.

I really enjoyed the Fug Girls’ Wolf Hall recaps, apart from being entertained, I was informed about what was actually going on by them.

Poldark recaps and reviews, which appreciate the pretty and are firmly on Team Demelza. So far they’ve just done episode 3, I look forward to what they make of episode 4 and episode 6!
