shallowness: Catwoman looking at the Batsign in the Gotham City night sky (Catwoman watching Batverse films)
[personal profile] shallowness
Caught up on a procedural double bill last night:

The Mentalist 5.10 Panama Red

I started off feeling grumpy about the big gap between this and when I saw the last episode. Thanks, five! I was spoiled about Summer’s return, but I did wonder ’what’s this?’ at the rapid response boss lady. Had we met her before and I’d forgotten? And then the reason for Cho being in that place at that time became clear.

<3 Summer and Cho’s soft spot for her. I mean, there were more expressions from him in the goodbye scene than he gives anyone else.

More Cho running after crims than usual and more Jane drinking tea when not obsessing about Red John. Or maybe that's the two-month break talking. Of course Rigsby got to dress up as Jane’s fictional drug dealer. (I am surprised Lisbon didn’t piece that together sooner.) And of course he snacked before getting high.

At least they didn’t have anyone point out that they used the convenient counterfeit money for the con.

Francesca was one of Max’s sisters on Dark Angel.

And a final bit of Jane playing with Lisbon, but Lisbon not having any of it. She keeps a hammer in her drawer. Of course she does. Loved Jane’s surprised expression (especially as he’d claimed it was his intellect and not chance that solved the puzzle box.)

Person of Interest 1.15 Blue Code

I was glad when the flashback turned up, because I thought the A plot would be dull (this was not quite the case, although I was less sympathetic to the man who decided to stay undercover while his wife was heavily pregnant with their second child than the show wanted me to be, you know?) – although I don’t know why they tried to imply that Reese was having those flashbacks when he was. Why would he? Enough that we were getting the more backstory about the story Stone hinted at to Carter.

Some day soon, Carter and Fuscoe (more her than him) should figure out they have a mutual mutual friend.

I was wonderwing whether LOS maybe was Elias, but no. Reese’s revelation that the Company was involved was chilling, as was their handling of their burnt asset. Even more affecting was what Fuscoe was forced to do.

Possibly the most telling thing was that John never referred to the number as Tully, he was always Cahill.

I was tickled by Finch being attired as always at 3 a.m.. Do these guys never clock off?
