Dredd
Radioactive: anr (Anderson-centric post-movie gen, teen)
Enjoyable story about Anderson’s first year as a Judge – with spot-on random, vioent deaths – she’s lucky and good and better than she knows. Loved the supportive-in-his-own-way presence of Dredd and the interplay with the community of Judges.
Harry Potter
Beyond What the Eye Can See: ? (it was posted at an exchange and they never revealed who the author was!?!?) (Luna-centric gen)
Very involving story that goes deep into Luna's POV. Her unique way of sensing things drives the story and leads to a surprising but marvellous adventure.
MCU
Say You Like Me. Just For The Night: sunspot (Sam/Maria)
Utterly charming fake dating fic that kind of turns Sam into a romcom heroine.
Multifandom
Dream: Gwyn
This vid is a love letter to fandom and it made me cry. I'm not a crier, but the delight of seeing fandoms that mean a lot to me or that I know mean a lot to others, the connections and emotionality got to me. (Perhaps it's because of These Days we're living in, but Mal Reynold's love for his ship was what set it off.)
Only Lovers Left Alive
Vast Darkness Unobscured: merriman (Adam/Eve, future fic)
Came for the VAMPIRES IN SPACE tag, because I get automatically gleeful about stories set in space, but this is something more, a treatment of Eve and Adam surviving and adapting to a time when humanity has left Earth and is colonising space. Most importantly the characterisation is stellar. Excellent.
