Scorpion season 2 - disc 3
Sep. 13th, 2020 03:21 pmI’d only seen the end of all these episodes, thus missing out on the build-up within episodes and all that had come before (e.g. getting to know Megan and what she meant to Walter and Sly.)
( Spoilers for all of season 2 )
Writing/fics posted in August
Aug. 31st, 2020 01:56 pmI posted three ficlets this month (I meant to post them more closely together). They’re all Scorpion, either PG or U and all three are outsider POVs of Walter/Paige.
( About that )
My next post will probably be about Strike, but I might as well wait until I've seen tonight's episode.

The Ties That Bind. Scorpion. Universal. Ralph Dineen, Walter O’Brien, Paige Dineen (Walter/Paige). Summary: Ralph observes a morning ritual.
Speculative future fic, written after watching ‘Satellite of Love’. (I haven’t seen beyond season 2, but I know that season 2 wardrobe choices joss this.) 438 words.

I’ll try to do this disc by disc, after this post, but a guest asked a question about the characters’ choices at the end of this ep in response to my fic about it, and this seemed like a good opportunity to get my thoughts about Walter and Paige at the end of this episode down.

Never Let Her Go. Scorpion. PG. Cabe Gallo, Walter O’Brien, Paige Dineen, (Walter/Paige). Summary: Cabe is watching, and Walter and Paige are uncomfortable, not just because Happy’s driving. Triple drabble. Inspired by the prompt ‘lap sitting’.

Scorpion disc 1 the final stretch
Aug. 14th, 2020 06:54 pmAs you can tell from the episodes, I’m referring to in my fic, I’ve got well into season 2, and have caught up with the point where I started watching the show on TV. Anyway, I thought this was a strong run to the end of the season.

Achilles’ Heel. Scorpion. Universal. Dan Smaisley, Walter O’Brien, Paige Dineen, (Walter/Paige). Summary: Dan Smaisley thinks he’s found Walter O’Brien’s Achilles’ heel. Spoilers for 2.6 ‘Tech, Drugs and Rock & Roll’. 390 words.

Weekend activities
Jul. 27th, 2020 08:28 pmI posted a ficlet. How Pandora Felt (After Opening the Box) Scorpion, Paige/Walter, post 2.01 ‘Satellite of Love’.
( About that. )
I also watched X3, after debating with my completeist self whether I wanted to, really. It’s so bad, but I hope to get Dark Phoenix on DVD soon, which is not so bad, and I wanted to compare.
X3 is such a drop off from X2 (which I watched the pervious weekend and X-Men the weekend before), although it is not as bad as Batman and Robin. It doesn’t misjudge its tone so much, although some of the lines are equally bad.
( Some of my problems with X3. References to other X-Men movies. )

Cracking on with Scorpion season 1
Jul. 21st, 2020 07:28 pmI am actually into season 2 by now. I haven’t reached the point where I started watching the show properly yet, so that’s fun. Also, I learned that there were four seasons, when I’d thought there were three. So the obsession continues.
In this block, from 'Revenge' to 'Love Boat', there are two holiday-themed episodes.

Writing Scorpion fic
Jul. 11th, 2020 09:36 amI posted a ficlet (mostly last weekend, but I only got around to posting it at AO3 this morning) looking at you looking at me (Scorpion, Paige/Walter, spoilers for season 1).
( about that )

Scorpion season 1 - first three eps
Jun. 17th, 2020 07:31 pmThe DVD boxset I’m currently binge watching (by my standards of ‘binge watching’) is Scorpion season 1. I went into it spoiled, because I started watching the show’s second season, enjoyed its cracktastic nature, team feels and canon ships. I gluttoned on fanfiction and then thought I might as well watch the whole thing, bought this DVD set and the time to do so was now. That’s because it was next on the pile as much as the whole lockdown thing. But I’m guzzling it down.
I’m going to break it up into blocks, rather than follow the discs. So, the first three episodes:
