shallownessWell done Killing Eve on all its BAFTAs. I can’t get worked up about them changing the rules for the show to be eligible because I thought it was so excellent. And as it was home turf, good on Comer for winning it – I think of her and Oh as co-leads, really. I have avoided second series spoilers, but obviously my response to seeing the Beeb’s mini trailer is ‘Date, please.’
Ghosts 1.5 Moonah Ston
I thought this was such a good episode. Yes, the awkward dinner party is a staple of the sitcom genre, but the sight of all of the ghosts coming in to do the ritual was hilarious. It took me ages to recognise Sophie Thompson as Bunny. Too much to unpick about the jokes (Friends! The use of Mary! The pidgeon!), but it was a really good episode, with Robin’s admission to Pat about what the moon meant to him providing feels too.
