...in that I prefer undemanding comedy-dramas from years gone by to heavy arty thrillers of today.

So, I said I've been watching a bit of Monarch of the Glen.

( Spoilers for everything. )

I fell asleep towards while watching Black Earth Rising, after a draining day. I’d suspected I’d struggle with it because of where I was at emotionally yesterday, but thought I was more likely to watch it live, but if I want to know what happened and watch the beginning more attentively, iPlayer it is. Apparently Killing Eve is really successful on iPlayer, probably the boxset offer is appealing as well as the content.

Strictly Week 4

Last week was busy, so, I only know the headlines. But this particular live show came with an unexpected, perhaps unwanted, frisson. How would they handle it?

I got a chance to watch the pilot for Blindspot, AKA what Jamie Alexander did next/that kept her from playing Sif a bit, which has always intrigued me. I’m dubious about whether I’ll watch it next week – perhaps if my brain is equally exhausted and I haven’t sorted out DVDs to watch.

Killing Eve 1.3 Don’t I Know You?

Every episode, I have to adjust to the fact that it’s only 45 minutes long. No ad breaks to pad it out on BBC One, and its shorter than Bodyguard and their usual dramas are, plus I’m enjoying it, so it flies by. (The last show that I’d have had this experience with would have been the first seasons of Orphan Black, I suppose.) So, just as I’m going ‘It that it? But I want more!’, we get the teaser for the next episode, which I think is a bit too spoilericious.
