Saw Only Lovers Left Alive the other night. All I ought to say is that it is an indie vampire movie starting Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as lovers.

Really, that should be enough. But also it is cool, erudite, witty and many other good things.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, fittingly (?) the Hallowe'en episode.

A busy couple of days, but let me take you back to Monday night, when I thought I should catch up with Revenge and then I could get into the cycle of watching it live.

Revenge 3.4 – (in which I criticise characters for being not very nice in one sentence and then get vicious myself the next.)

I then watched 3.5 live and learned that two episodes of Revenge in one night is too much for me ( so I have much less to say about it. )

Then the other night, Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief was on. I gave it nearly an hour, but felt that it was a story for boys who don't like reading - which is so not me.

And both Dumas-related shows. But I have to make a disclaimer before I get into The Three Musketeers: all I know about this story I picked up from film and TV adaptations (from Dogtanian to the one with Kiefer Sutherland) and possibly the Ladybird version, not from reading the book proper. So, I admit I only vaguely know ‘the story.’

And then I caught up with Revenge 3.2

I've finished gorging on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Adventure extended edition DVD extras - Richard Armitage geeking out (essentially) over Tolkien is so cool.

And I've just checked on imdb and...Orlando Bloom is older than Lee Pace. That's hilarious/I'm easily amused.

The holiday TV schedule is over, you can tell, because new series of shows are coming back: The Bletchley Circle is back on Monday at 9. I'm thrilled to bits (and motivated to read all the Yuletide fic I can beforehand.) It will clash with the also returning Revenge, which is obviously not going to get watched live by me. I'll catch up with its ridiculousness after.

Oh, and yesterday I tortured myself by watching the Veronica Mars film trailer. I tend not to watch trailers online; I like seeing them on the big screen. No release date for the UK, but there is one for Italy, bizarrely enough, so perhaps I can tag on a 'yet.'
