swordznsorcery linked to the BBC’s latest musical extravaganza, a group of various singers and musicians performing '
God Only Knows' and sets it in context, which might be useful if you're not from the UK. I've seen a part of it on TV subsequently, but it's worth seeing in full. Although there are a couple of cheesy moments, on the whole, I love the gilded fantasy touches.
Den of Geek has a nice little overview/look back at
Space PrecinctCue me asking ‘Was it really 20 years ago?’, thinking about it and realising it had to be. I liked the show, which aired in that 6pm BBC2 slot that also gave us Farscape, Buffy and Star Treks, perhaps more for its potential that what it generally was (as the feature acknowledged). The cops in space, crime-sci-fi hybrid set-up is a juicy one. And yes, of course I shipped Jack and Jane. Looking back, the fact that the three main characters were human and not alien seems like a let-down. Wouldn't it have been interesting if Brogan's partner was alien. I was more interested in the Tarns, the alien race that Jane’s partner Took was than the Creons* - the one that most of the other cops were – they had more mystic powers and seemed a bit more, well, alien.
Finally and belatedly,
Which Veronica Mars character are you?I was Mac.
*I don't recall if I've got them the right way around, and I'm not going to root up my tie-in novels (oh yes) to check. The show doesn't have an entry of its own on TvTropes.
