Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?
Apr. 13th, 2023 05:39 pmAfter being shown on Britbox (does anyone actually have Britbox?) we plebs got to see Agatha Christie’s Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? this Easter, much trumpeted as being adapted by your actual Hugh Laurie and sticking faithfully to the source, unlike Not Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations. I don’t think that I’ve read the original (but I never remember whodunnit in Christie novels that I have read, in any case.) I meant to post about it episode by episode, but here’s my response to the whole.

I’ve started bingeing (i.e. watching almost one ep every night) Hart of Dixie. I should have checked whether the show runners knew they were getting cancelled and it didn’t end on a never-to-be-resolved cliffhanger. Too late now. It’s available on ITVHub and was promoted during the Sanditon ad breaks (as was Veronica Mars, I chose to watch this for novelty. I’ve since learned they’ve also got Chuck, so I could finally see the seasons I missed too…)
