I posted a fic –
Favoritism (The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, a very fluffy Jane/Bing futurefic) last night. You have to remember I saw (the adorableness) of episodes 28 and 29 within minutes of each other, and stopped watching after ep 30, so the things that had jumped out at me stayed in my mind, and I had to write them down. For once, I had the time and inclination to type it up quite soon after and I suppose I was driven to post because I knew that once I saw more, it might get jossed or my feelings towards the characters might change.
The TV situation is unchanged, so I’m mainly catching up with shows online, and will be doing so over the weekend. I’m thinking about liveblogging the BAFTAs though, as that may be my chance to express some of my thoughts about this awards season.
I went to the cinema last night after what felt like a long time for me – bad weather stopped me from going when I was free. I went to see Zero Dark Thirty (I wish I could have ‘discovered’ it, like I did The Hurt Locker. All the talk about awards had affected how I watched it – I thought Bigelow did better work than Russell and Affleck, for what it’s worth. It was refreshing to see a female character like that in a film. It shouldn’t be.)
For the mobile phone warning, we had Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock telling us to keep the phone on silent. Have we come to this? Tell them to switch it off! There was a person in front of me who had their phone on, all lit up. SERIOUSLY, if you can’t live without your phone on, don’t go to the cinema, or at least have the decency to sit in the back row where there are no people behind you to see it.
